«Una Navidad diferente» is the novel by John Grisham, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (170 pages, in Spanish).
Luther and Nora Krank decide to skip Christmas for once: no shopping, office parties or gifts, and instead they plan a Caribbean cruise. The decision scandalizes their neighborhood, where Christmas traditions are sacred. The novel portrays with humor the frenzy of the holidays and asks what Christmas really means.
The novel was originally published as «Skipping Christmas». In 2004 the movie adaptation of the novel, «Una Navidad de locos», directed by Joe Roth, was released. Translation by M.ª Antonia Menini.
Ideal for those looking for a light and entertaining Christmas comedy, and for readers who want a festive story with absurd situations.
