«Una relación inconveniente» is the contemporary novel by Anita Brookner published by Ediciones Orbis in hardcover, with 254 pages in Spanish.
The novel's protagonist is Blanche Vernon, a woman who, in a cold and bleak April, considers it essential to keep busy and keep her feelings in check. From that emotional restraint, Brookner paints a portrait of human relationships and the weight of sentimental decisions.
The work is part of the Grandes pasiones de la literatura collection and its original title is A Misalliance; translated by Antoni Puigròs.
For readers of modern British fiction and novels focused on the inner lives of their characters.
Anita Brookner was an English novelist and art historian. She was Slade Professor of Fine Art at the University of Cambridge from 1967 to 1968 and was the first woman to hold this visiting professorship. She was awarded the 1984 Booker–McConnell Prize for her novel Hotel du Lac.
