«Une ombre qui glisse» is the picture book by Marco Berrettoni Carrara, published by L'Atelier du Poisson Soluble in hardcover (24 pages, in French).
A boy tells what it is like to live with Sara, his older autistic sister, who glides like a shadow and alternates silences, unpredictable gestures and tenderness. The sober, poetic text shows the relationship from the brother's perspective; the soft-toned collages recreate her enigmatic universe in a story about difference and acceptance.
The work, published in French in 2012, brings together the text by Marco Berrettoni Carrara and the illustrations by Chiara Carrer.
Aimed at children from 3 years old; its story about difference makes it suitable for reading and discussing with the youngest.
