«Utopía» is the classic of political thought by Tomás Moro, published by Alianza Editorial in paperback (221 pages, in Spanish).
The work describes an ideal society on a fictional island and, from that perspective, examines the politics, religion, and customs of sixteenth-century Europe. Halfway between fiction and essay, it questions the Europe of its time and reflects on social organization and coexistence.
Translation by Pedro Rodríguez Santidrián based on the Basel editions of 1518. Includes correspondence about the work, the idealized map of Utopia, and the Utopian alphabet; Political Science collection.
Recommended for readers of political philosophy, social theory, and Renaissance classics.

Sir Thomas More, venerated in the Catholic Church as a martyr and saint, was an English lawyer, judge, social philosopher, author, statesman, theologian and Renaissance humanist. He also served Henry VIII as Lord Chancellor from October 1529 to May 1532. He wrote Utopia, published in 1516, which describes the political system of an imaginary island state.
