«¡Vaya maraña!» is an illustrated children's story by Anita Pouroulis, published by Digital Leaf in paperback (32 pages, in Spanish).
Kiki is an artistic girl who does anything rather than brush her hair. When a small knot appears in her mane, instead of removing it she tends it until it becomes something big and surprising, although her mother doesn't seem to share her enthusiasm. Monika Filipina Trzpil's illustrations fill the story with humor and detail.
The first edition came out on October 16, 2013 and the work received the award for best illustrated children's book at the 2013 Shanghai Book Fair.
A story for children; many mothers and daughters will identify with the hair theme and with the relationship between Kiki and her mother.
