«Verde acqua, la radura e altri racconti» is the collection of short stories by Marisa Madieri, published by Einaudi in 2006 in paperback (303 pages, in Italian).
The volume brings together two of Madieri's stories already published separately: «Verde acqua», a diary-form narrative that recalls, from a private perspective, the postwar exodus of Italians from Istria and Dalmatia, and «La radura», a fable about the transition from childhood to adolescence starring the daisy Dafne. It is completed with six short stories.
The book belongs to the Einaudi tascabili. Scrittori series (no. 1424), with an introduction by Ermanno Paccagnini and an afterword by Claudio Magris.
Aimed at the general public, especially those who enjoy contemporary Italian narrative with historical memory and a fable-like tone.
