In 'Viajes y otros viajes', Antonio Tabucchi invites us to travel the world through his eyes and his readings. This book is a collection of texts that unfold a map where physical journeys are intertwined with the imaginary geographies of literature. We accompany Tabucchi on his visits to emblematic places such as Goa, Cape Sunion or the marine cemetery of Sète, sharing his reflections inspired by authors such as The Count of Monte Cristo, Sophia de Mello Breyner and Paul Valéry. In addition, he guides us through his beloved Lisbon and takes us to explore fantastic cities through the eyes of other writers. This book is an atlas of knowledge that evokes history, art and literature, inviting us to travel and reflect on the world around us.

Antonio Tabucchi was an Italian writer and academic who taught Portuguese language and literature at the University of Siena, Italy. Deeply in love with Portugal, he was an expert, critic and translator of the works of Fernando Pessoa from whom he drew the conceptions of saudade, of fiction and of the heteronyms. Tabucchi was first introduced to Pessoa's works in the 1960s when attending the Sorbonne. He was so charmed that when he returned to Italy, he took an introductory course in Portuguese for a better comprehension of the poet.
