«Vida» is the book of poems and songs by José Hierro and Inés Fonseca, published by El Europeo/52 PM in paperback with CD (94 pages, in Spanish).
The volume alternates poems and texts with drawings and songs, and includes a CD with the music composed by Inés Fonseca. José Hierro signs the drawings, and the whole offers a lyrical and musical journey around life, which gives the work its title.
The work was published in 2002 as number 28 of the Colección LCD. The CD with the songs is part of this edition.
A title designed for those who enjoy Spanish poetry and editions that combine literature, music and illustration.
José Hierro del Real, sometimes colloquially called Pepe Hierro, was a Spanish poet. He belonged to the so-called postwar generation, within the rootless and existential poetry streams. He wrote for both Espadaña and Garcilaso magazines. In 1981, he received the Prince of Asturias Awards in Literature, in 1998 the Cervantes Prize and he received many more awards and honours.
