«Vida de San Francisco de Asís» is Álvaro Pombo's biographical paraphrase, published by Planeta in 1996 in hardcover (197 pages, in Spanish).
Pombo reworks the life of Saint Francis of Assisi with a first-person voice and a register close to the period, so that the narrative dwells less on events and more on the spirituality underpinning his Franciscan vocation.
First edition with dust jacket, published in Barcelona in the La línea del horizonte collection.
For readers of biographies and religious history who want to approach the figure of Saint Francis of Assisi from a literary perspective.
Álvaro Pombo García de los Ríos is a Spanish poet, novelist and activist.
