«Viento del norte» is the romantic novel by Elena Quiroga, published by Bamba Editorial in paperback, with 284 pages, in Spanish.
Marcela grows up in La Sagreira, a pazo in northern Galicia, taken in by Álvaro de Castro and raised by Ermitas. Her uncertain origins and an environment of superstition, gossip and jealousy mark her life. The attraction between them challenges the pazo's hierarchy in a novel about solitude, identity, desire and love for the land, with an intimate naturalist prose.
The work was awarded the Premio Nadal. This edition was published on September 13, 2023.
It will appeal to readers of postwar Spanish fiction and to those seeking novels set in Galicia.
