«Violeta Parra para chicas y chicos» is the illustrated children's biography by Nadia Fink and Pitu Saá (Editorial Chirimbote, paperback, 24 pages, Spanish).
The work tells the life of Violeta Parra, the Chilean artist who traveled to the most remote corners of Chile to collect popular songs and keep them from being forgotten. It also shows her self-taught side: she learned to play instruments on her own, painted on cardboard and embroidered arpilleras, becoming a tireless creator and a symbol of Latin American culture.
It is the second title in the Antiprincesas collection.
Aimed at early readers and at adults who want to discover Violeta Parra through a short, illustrated work.
