«Volar bajo la luna» is the science fiction novel by Julio Frisón, published by Centro UNED in paperback (179 pages, in Spanish).
Daedalus hides in a cave and prepares an escape through the air with Icarus. The full moon tempts him with invisibility, but Daedalus prefers to cross the day displaying his knowledge. The narrative recreates the classical myth in a dreamlike setting, with chimeras, threatening shadows and a sea of metallic brightness.
Published in 2002, it belongs to the Aire Nuevo collection; the edition was produced by the Centro UNED "Francisco Tomás y Valiente" together with the Taller de Mario Muchnik.
For science fiction readers interested in reinterpretations of classical myths and dreamlike atmospheres.
