«Volverás a Región» is the novel by Juan Benet published in 1974 by Alianza Editorial in paperback (293 pages, in Spanish).
Set in Región, the novel addresses the decline of the region through three threads: the myth of the keeper and the forbidden forest, the consequences of the civil war in the rural world, and a frustrated pseudo-marriage. Its experimental style and narrative complexity demand attentive reading and are characteristic traits of Juan Benet.
This edition is number 542 of the El Libro de Bolsillo collection, Literature section, from Alianza Editorial.
For readers of twentieth-century Spanish fiction who value experimental prose and the literary treatment of the civil war.
