«Volverás a Región» is the novel by Juan Benet, published by Ediciones Orbis in paperback (315 pages, in Spanish).
Volverás a Región, Juan Benet's first novel published in 1968, renewed Spanish narrative of its time by moving away from costumbrista realism. The action takes place in Región, a devastated mythical territory that serves the author to reflect on the ruin of the human condition and project it onto a Spain marked by the Civil War.
This 1984 edition belongs to the collection «Grandes autores españoles del siglo XX» and includes the reviews that Rafael Conte and Pere Gimferrer dedicated to the novel in 1969.
It is a reference work of contemporary Spanish narrative, suitable for readers interested in twentieth-century classics and postwar literature.
Juan Benet was a Spanish novelist, dramatist and essayist who also worked as a civil engineer.
