«Concierto para violín y orquesta n.º 1 / Mural sonante» is the album by Cristóbal Halffter, released in 1997 by Auvidis Montaigne, on CD.
The CD brings together two works by Cristóbal Halffter: the Concierto para violín y orquesta n.º 1, with Christiane Edinger as soloist, and Mural sonante. The Radio-Sinfonie-Orchester Frankfurt, conducted by the composer himself, performs both scores, representative of his contemporary orchestral language and his exploration of textures, rhythms and timbres.
First world recording of both works, released in France by Auvidis Montaigne within the Cristóbal Halffter series (vol. 2).
Fans of contemporary classical music and Spanish orchestral repertoire.
