«Gorecki: Already It Is Dusk / Lerchenmusik» is the contemporary classical music album by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, released in 1991 by Warner Bros UK on CD.
The album brings together two chamber works by Górecki: «Already It Is Dusk» (String Quartet No. 1, Op. 62, 1988), performed by the Kronos Quartet, and «Lerchenmusik» (Recitatives and Ariosos, Op. 53, 1984), by the London Sinfonietta Soloists. Written for small ensembles, they combine expressive intensity and a contemporary language of refined textures.
The CD is a single-disc edition with digital recording (DDD); its total duration is 54 minutes.
For listeners of contemporary classical music and for those interested in late 20th-century chamber repertoire.
