«Shadows on the Sun» is the fifth rock album by Zen Guerrilla, released in 2001 by Subpop on CD.
San Francisco band Zen Guerrilla combines loud, vibrant rock with soul and psychedelia: Marcus Durant's voice evokes a post-apocalyptic Otis Redding, and the record synthesizes the rock of the Stones, Kinks and Led Zeppelin with the soul of the Ohio Players, Stylistics and Temptations. It includes the opening track «Barbed Wire».
It is Zen Guerrilla's fifth full-length album; the edition consists of one disc.
For fans of alternative rock with soul and psychedelic roots and for those interested in the American underground.
