«A Lebre e a Tartaruga» is the children's adaptation of the classic fable, published by Porto Editora in hardcover (24 pages, in Portuguese).
This children's book adapts the well-known fable of the hare and the tortoise: a fast, conceited hare mocks a slow tortoise and the two challenge each other to a race. With colorful illustrations and a short, accessible text, the story shows how perseverance and humility can overcome overconfidence.
Published in 2004, it belongs to the collection «Eu Sei Ler - dos 5 aos 7 Anos» from Porto Editora.
Aimed at children aged 5 to 7 who are beginning to read on their own; it is also useful for talking about effort and perseverance at home or in class.
