In 'Amuleto', Roberto Bolaño presents the voice of Auxilio Lacouture, a Uruguayan woman in Mexico who takes refuge in the university's restrooms during the police takeover of 1968. Through her memories, Lacouture evokes characters such as the poet Lilian Serpas and the Spanish poets León Felipe and Pedro Garfias, weaving a narrative that explores memory and exile. This novel, belonging to Anagrama's 'Compactos' series, is a fractal digression from 'Los detectives salvajes', inviting the reader on a journey through the world of memory and introspection.

Roberto Bolaño Ávalos was a Chilean novelist, short-story writer, poet and essayist.
