«Aniversari» is Matthew Tree's collection of reflections, published by Columna CAT in paperback (150 pages, in Catalan).
Matthew Tree began writing this book in 2004, twenty years after settling in Catalonia. It consists of four reflections on language, immigration, the experience of achieving a certain popularity, and Catalonia's very existence, with irony and a subjective gaze that does not claim to be expert.
It belongs to the Nou Mil·lenni collection (number 14). First edition published in Barcelona in April 2005.
For readers interested in Catalonia, its language and society, and in the experiences of someone who observes it from outside.
Matthew Tree is a writer in English and Catalan. He has lived in Catalonia since 1984.
