«Autobiografía del general Franco» is the biographical fiction novel by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (729 pages).
An apocryphal autobiography of Francisco Franco: an anti-Francoist writer, Marcial Pombo, is commissioned to write the dictator's memoirs. The narrative combines Franco's voice with the fictional author's annotations and interweaves the cruelty of the era with the voices of those who lived through it.
