«Borba katua» is the children's story by Ruth Rocha, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (48 pages, in Basque).
Borba, a cat, and Txirri, a dog, are great friends. When Txirri enters the police academy, Borba decides he wants to follow that path too. Although everyone tells him there has never been a police cat, Borba is determined to prove otherwise, in a story about friendship and overcoming limits.
Published in 2003, it is part of the El Barco de Vapor Blanca collection (no. 28), with a Basque translation by Miren Maite Billelabeitia from the original Portuguese.
Recommended for children aged 6 to 7 who are beginning to read in Basque.
