In 'Back When We Were Grownups', Anne Tyler introduces us to Rebecca, a woman who, despite the years and family expectations, decides to take control of her life. Tired of reinventing traditional cuisine and taking care of children who don't consider her a grandmother, Rebecca embarks on a journey of self-discovery. She resumes her studies, joins a gym, buys silk lingerie, and dares to contact someone from her past. This novel explores the value of memories and the courage needed to rewrite one's life.

Anne Tyler is an American novelist, short story writer, and literary critic.
