«Dans le labyrinthe» is the Nouveau Roman movement novel by Alain Robbe-Grillet, published by Editions de Minuit in 1959 in French (paperback).
A French soldier wanders the streets of a besieged city, turned into a labyrinth of repeating buildings and corridors, tasked with delivering a package entrusted by a dying comrade. The anti-realist, deliberately objective narration focuses on seemingly disconnected gestures, objects and scenes, an emblematic example of the Nouveau Roman.
Novel in French, paperback, 220 pages, published in 1959 by Editions de Minuit. The covers of the various editions reproduce the text «roman» under the title.
For readers interested in the French literary avant-garde and in the narrative experimentation of the Nouveau Roman.
