«Diario secreto de Adrián Mole» is Sue Townsend's humorous young-adult novel, published by Xerais in paperback (240 pages, in Galician).
Adrián Mole, a British teenager, records his daily life in his diary: first loves, the war against pimples and his parents' chaotic marriage. His egocentrism and humor turn the ordinary into an ironic portrait of adolescence, amid attempts to improve the world and the disorder of his family and school environment.
First installment of the Adrian Mole saga, published in Galician in 1999. The original work, «The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4», dates from 1982, translated by Manuel Carballo.
For readers aged 14 and over who enjoy humor and coming-of-age novels, or who want to read this British youth classic in Galician.
