«Dones alterades 4» is the humor comic by Maitena, published by Rosa dels Vents in hardcover (96 pages, in Spanish).
Maitena approaches the life of contemporary women with irony and tenderness: family, work, love, sex, children, parents and grandparents, seen through a female gaze. Her characters grapple with the pressure to be desirable, the effort to appear strong and the fragility that surfaces in daily routine, with humor as a lesson in survival.
Fourth volume in the «Dones alterades» series. Maitena was born in Buenos Aires in 1962 and created the strip «Mujeres alteradas».
For comic readers looking for an ironic, relatable take on the contradictions of women's everyday lives.
Maitena Burundarena, better known as Maitena, is an Argentine cartoonist.
