The pocket edition of one of the best graphic novels of the 21st century. On May 4, 2001, Antonio Altarriba's father jumped from the window of a nursing home, but his flight began ninety years earlier. A nonconformist and a fighter, Altarriba's father spent his life learning to fly, from the fields of Peñaflor and the trenches of the anti-Franco struggle to exile in France and the Spain of the dictator. His son documents his story, creating one of the greatest chronicles of 20th-century Spain. First published in 2009 and winner of the 2010 National Comic Award, this universal work has transcended borders and moved readers and critics worldwide.
