«El camarada don Camilo» is the novel by Giovanni Guareschi published by Orbis in hardcover, with 205 pages in Spanish.
The stories pit don Camilo, a Catholic priest, against Peppone, the communist mayor of a small town, set in postwar Italy. Their ideological disputes are resolved with humor and occasional reconciliations; in one, they travel together to the USSR with very different intentions.
This work is the third installment of the Don Camilo series, translated by Domingo Pruna Moravia; it belongs to the Biblioteca de Grandes Éxitos collection, no. 26.
For readers of humor and Italian fiction, especially fans of don Camilo and Peppone.
Giovannino Oliviero Giuseppe Guareschi was an Italian journalist, cartoonist and humorist whose best known creation is the priest Don Camillo.
