Synopsis of El puente de Alcántara
En el año 1064, caballeros normandos y franceses emprendieron una cruzada contra los moros en España. Ante las murallas de una ciudad, se produjo el encuentro de tres hombres: Mohamed Ibn Amar, un poeta andaluz de origen árabe; Yunus Ibn al Ahwar, un médico judío; y Lope, un escudero de quince años. Sus caminos se separaron y volvieron a cruzarse años después en Sevilla. El poeta se había convertido en gran visir y Lope estaba enamorado de la hija del médico judío, pero los sucesos de una noche infausta en el puente de Alcántara lo transformaron. En estos tres destinos se refleja la diversidad de una época grandiosa en la que Andalucía era un floreciente centro artístico y cultural. Esta es la primera parte de la novela.
