Synopsis of El puente de Alcántara
En el año 1064, caballeros normandos y franceses emprendieron una cruzada contra los moros en España. En este contexto, tres hombres se encuentran: Mohamed Ibn Amar, un poeta andaluz de origen árabe; Yunus Ibn al Ahwar, un médico judío; y Lope, un escudero de quince años. Sus caminos se separan y se cruzan nuevamente en Sevilla, donde el poeta se ha convertido en gran visir y Lope está enamorado de la hija del médico judío. Sin embargo, los sucesos de una noche infausta en el puente de Alcántara transforman a Lope. A través de estos tres destinos, la novela refleja la diversidad de una época grandiosa en la que Andalucía era un floreciente centro artístico y cultural.
