«El punto ciego» is the psychology essay by Daniel Goleman, published by Plaza & Janés in hardcover, with 415 pages, in Spanish.
Analysis of self-deception as a psychological mechanism: the mind filters painful memories and perceptions to protect psychic stability, but distorts relationships and social life. Goleman gathers evidence from the individual brain to collective dynamics, and warns that self-deception, often beneficial, can become dangerous.
