«Els Meus Amics Els Pirates» is the illustrated children's book by Melinda Long, published by Editorial Vicens Vives in paperback (48 pages, in Catalan).
Jordi has an amazing adventure when Captain Barbatrenada's pirates invite him to bury a treasure. During the voyage, he learns the corsairs' language, imitates their ways and can eat whatever he likes, until he discovers that on board there are no stories or goodnight kisses. A fun story about discovering that the pirate life isn't everything.
Part of the Pinyata collection. Translation by Laura Santamaria Guinot with illustrations by David Shannon, and adaptation by Agustín Sánchez Aguilar.
Recommended for early readers and elementary school children, especially in Catalan.
