«Els patins del Sebastià» is the picture book by Joan de Déu Prats and Francesc Rovira, published by La Galera in hardcover (40 pages, in Catalan).
Sebastià is a boy so shy he barely speaks, though he has much to say. When asked, he lowers his gaze and nods in silence. Everything changes when he discovers roller skates, which give him a way to communicate and show himself as he is.
Award-winning work with the Premi Hospital Sant Joan de Déu 2003, part of the Àlbums il·lustrats collection.
Recommended for readers aged 7 to 9, especially for children starting to read alone or who identify with shyness.
