«Els ulls d'Abdeslam» is a children's and young adult story by Jordi de Manuel i Barrabín, published by La Galera in paperback (40 pages, in Catalan).
Abdeslam spots himself in a photograph and is struck by his own eyes, which look like two lit flames. On his first day of school he meets Marcel and with him enters new territory: friendship. A tender and poetic story about looking, identity, and connecting with others.
Part of the Grumets collection (no. 130), with illustrations by Ricard Aranda. First edition in 2001.
Recommended for children aged 7 and up, especially for early readers who enjoy illustrated stories about friendship.
