«En Patancràs Xinxolaina» is the children's and young adult fantasy novel by Joles Sennell, published by La Galera in 1993 in paperback, 136 pages, in Catalan.
In En Patancràs Xinxolaina, a man —or perhaps two?— is shipwrecked in the 17th century and swallowed by a sea apple. He crosses the Kingdom of the Fairies, the Island of the Genies, the Land of the Ogres and the other side of the mirrors, and ends up in the 20th century, where prison, the asylum and fame await him. A fantastic and imaginative story.
Illustrated by Montserrat Brucart. Belongs to the Grumets collection, number 8. Won the Premi Josep M. Folch i Torres 1980.
Aimed at readers aged 10 and up, especially those who enjoy children's literature of imaginary journeys and fantastic adventures.
