«Eu tamén fun pequena» is a children's story by Concha Blanco, published by Edicións Xerais in paperback (104 pages, in Galician).
Grandmother Concha shares with her granddaughters Ana and Mariña memories of her childhood in Lires in the 1950s. Her tales contrast the rural world of that time, without technology or infrastructure, with today's life: traditions, effort, the Galician language, equality, tolerance, justice, peace and the environment. Evoking the past is living it again.
It belongs to the Merlín collection from Edicións Xerais and features illustrations by Dani Padrón. First edition, published in 2023.
Recommended for readers aged 9 and up, the book highlights the value of the Galician language and brings the memory of the rural world to new generations.
