Frederick is a charming picture book that tells the story of a little mouse who, unlike his companions who gather food for the winter, spends his time collecting sunbeams, colors, and words. Through this poetic tale, author Leo Lionni teaches the importance of creativity and sensitivity, showing that art and beauty are just as essential to life as material sustenance. It is a classic work, perfect for young readers, that invites reflection on the value of difference and self-acceptance.
