«Històries de fantasmes d'un arqueòleg» is the ghost story collection by M. R. James, in paperback, 153 pages, in Catalan, published by Laertes.
Eight ghost stories written by an archaeologist who turns ancient objects and documents into a starting point for terror. In them, apparitions insinuate themselves into everyday life; among the tales, «Número 13» and «Mezzotinta» stand out.
Volume 23 of the L'Arcà collection, second edition, with translation by Josep-Miquel Molina and introduction by Emili Olcina i Aya. The English original, Ghost Stories of an Antiquary, was published in 1904.
For readers of classic horror, ghost stories and gothic fiction, as well as for those who follow the L'Arcà collection.

Montague Rhodes James was an English medievalist scholar and author who served as provost of King's College, Cambridge (1905–1918), and of Eton College (1918–1936) as well as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge (1913–1915). James's scholarly work is still highly regarded, but he is best remembered for his ghost stories, which are considered by many critics and authors as the finest in the English language and widely influential on modern horror.
