«Il generale e il giudice» is a collection of chronicles and historical articles by Luis Sepúlveda, published by TEA in paperback (134 pages, in Italian).
After Pinochet's arrest in London in 1998, requested by Judge Baltasar Garzón, Luis Sepúlveda brings together articles from the European and Latin American press. He reviews Chilean history from the 1973 coup and Allende's death, evokes repression and exile, and defends the memory of the defeated, who refuse to forgive and forget.
The work was originally published as «La locura de Pinochet y otros artículos» in 2002; this Italian edition is part of the Saggistica TEA collection.
For readers interested in the recent history of Chile, the Pinochet dictatorship and political journalism.
