«Incontro d'amore in un paese in guerra» is a collection of 24 short stories by Luis Sepúlveda, published by Guanda in paperback (198 pages, in Italian).
Twenty-four stories about love, war, politics, travel and utopia. A Sandinista and a prisoner's wife, a persecuted activist, a Chilean boxer who joins the Bolivian guerrilla and some people confined in the desert illustrate encounters and missed connections with marginal characters and exiles.
The work was originally published in Spanish as «Desencuentros»; the Italian translation by Ilide Carmignani appeared in 1997 in the Narratori della Fenice collection.
For readers of stories with a political and social background, and for those who want an Italian edition of Luis Sepúlveda's work.
