«J'ai rêvé d'une rivière» is the children's picture book by Allen Say, published by L'École des loisirs in paperback (35 pages, in French).
Marc, ill in bed with fever, receives a box of fishing tackle from his uncle. The gift awakens his imagination and transports him, in dreams, to a river where he lives a fishing adventure. The watercolor illustrations, in soft tones, accompany the story and reflect the boy's dreamlike journey.
«J'ai rêvé d'une rivière» was published in 1994 within L'École des loisirs' children's and young adult catalog.
Children are the intended audience for this work, both for its story and its illustrations.
