«La fuente de la edad» is the novel by Luis Mateo Díez published by RBA Coleccionables in 1994, in paperback, with 299 pages in Spanish.
In the 1950s, in a provincial city, the members of a brotherhood more given to esotericism and drink than to penance set out to find a mythical fountain of virtuous waters; the adventure becomes an escape from monotony and raises the clash between imagination and a society without imagination.
It belongs to the collection «Narrativa actual. Autores de lengua española» (no. 53). The novel received the Premio de la Crítica de Narrativa Castellana and the Premio Nacional de Narrativa.
