«La gran novel·la sobre Barcelona» is the short story collection by Sergi Pàmies published by Quaderns Crema in paperback (144 pages, in Catalan).
The volume brings together fifteen stories in which Barcelona increasingly gains presence as a setting for passions such as love, fear or solitude. With an ironic prose stripped of grandiloquence, Pàmies explores the fissures of the everyday and turns ordinary life into a narrative experience of intense force.
Published in 1997 in the Mínima Minor collection (no. 74), it won the Premi de la Crítica Serra d'Or in 1998.
For readers of short fiction and for those who want to approach contemporary Catalan literature.
