«La ilíada i l'odissea» is Marcia Williams' children's comic, published by Editorial Acanto in hardcover (34 pages, in Catalan).
A comic-strip adaptation of the two great Homeric poems: the Trojan War with its heroes and gods, and Odysseus' troubled journey home. Marcia Williams condenses both tales into lively, detailed scenes in her characteristic comic-strip style, bringing Greek legends to young readers with humor and visual rhythm.
First edition of 2003, translated by Elena Llorens from the original English text; contains color illustrations.
Recommended for young readers starting out in classical mythology who want to enjoy the great stories in comic form.
Marcia Matilda Williams, Baroness Falkender, CBE, also known as Marcia Falkender, was the private secretary for, and then the political secretary and head of political office to, UK Labour Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
