La Maternidad de Elna es un relato conmovedor que revela un capítulo poco conocido de la posguerra catalana. La obra narra la historia de Elisabeth Eidenbenz, una maestra suiza que, entre 1939 y 1944, salvó la vida de 597 niños, hijos de mujeres exiliadas catalanas y españolas. Estas mujeres, que vivían en condiciones precarias en los campos de refugiados republicanos de Sant Cebrià de Rosselló, Argelers y Ribesaltes, encontraron esperanza y refugio en la maternidad creada por Eidenbenz, donde pudieron dar a luz y criar a sus bebés en un entorno seguro y digno.
