«La récréation» is the political memoir by Frédéric Mitterrand, published by Robert Laffont in paperback (720 pages, in French).
Frédéric Mitterrand looks back on his three years at the head of the French Ministry of Culture (2009-2012), from his almost surprise arrival in government. With irony and detachment, he views politics as a den of lions: anecdotes, frictions and absurdities of power, and how he managed not to be devoured in what he calls a «récréation».
The original edition dates from October 24, 2013 and the cover indicates the Prix du livre politique 2014.
For readers interested in French politics, cultural management and memoirs of public figures.
Frédéric Mitterrand was a French actor, screenwriter, producer, and politician who served as Minister of Culture and Communication of France from 2009 to 2012 under President Nicolas Sarkozy.
