«La rizzagliata» is the crime novel by Andrea Camilleri, published by Sellerio Editore Palermo in paperback (210 pages, in Italian).
Set in Palermo, the novel opens with the murder of a politician's daughter and suspicion falling on her boyfriend. Around the crime, a tangle of political corruption, mafia collusion and media manipulation makes it almost impossible to distinguish truth from lies.
Published in 2009, the novel won the International RBA Prize for Crime Fiction. It is a standalone work, without Inspector Montalbano, in the La memoria series from Sellerio.
For readers of crime fiction and thrillers interested in political corruption and the Sicilian backdrop, and for fans of Andrea Camilleri.
Andrea Calogero Camilleri was an Italian writer best known for his Salvo Montalbano crime novels.
