Le petit humain

Synopsis of Le petit humain

«Le petit humain» is the children's novel by Alain Serres, illustrated by Anne Tonnac, a paperback from Editions Gallimard (64 pages, in French).

At the school for wild animals, the hippos Tim and Tom arrive with a strange surprise: a little human. The teacher takes the opportunity to give a natural science lesson, but the child can't stand being looked at like a rare animal and only wants to go home. A tender and zany story about difference and acceptance.

Part of the Folio Cadet collection from Gallimard Jeunesse; French edition published on June 6, 2003.

For children aged 7 to 10 who are starting to read alone; useful for addressing difference and empathy.
