«Les cançons d'Ariadna II» is the poetry collection by Salvador Espriu, published by El Observador in paperback (83 pages, in Catalan).
Salvador Espriu conceived «Les cançons d'Ariadna» as a songbook built over the course of his life, with poems very different in theme, genre, metrical form and style, until reaching one hundred units. The author himself said he worked on the work from 1934 to 1980, and some of Espriu's best-known poems come from it.
It is part of the Clàssics Catalans del Segle XX collection (number 7). The work was originally published in 1949; this Catalan edition appeared in 1991.
For readers interested in twentieth-century Catalan poetry and in the figure of Salvador Espriu.
