«Les guerriers du silence» is the science fiction novel by Pierre Bordage, published by J'ai lu in paperback (640 pages, in French).
The Confederation of Naflin brings together a hundred worlds, including the refined Syracusa. While the Scaythes of Hyponéros, endowed with psychic powers, plot to impose a dictatorship, the warrior monks of the Absourate Order and a obscure travel agency employee could stand in the conspirators' way.
The work is the first instalment of the «Les guerriers du silence» trilogy and was awarded the Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire and the Prix Julia Verlanger in 1994.
For readers of space opera and French science fiction, especially those wishing to start the trilogy.
